To boost profits, food producers sell imitation versions of bone broth, called stocks or just “broth”. These imitators boil their stock at furious heat and in high-pressure industrial kettles, sapping the broth of nutrients that make it so wonderful in the first place.
These food producers simply want to make as much product as possible, as quickly as possible to maximize profits. Thus, these stocks and broths are boiled for 3-4 hours to reduce the amount of time it takes to make a batch, which is not nearly enough time to extract the nutrients from the animal bone marrow.
HOW IS GENUINE BONE BROTH DIFFERENT?
Compare this to pasture-grazed, organically raised animals. These animals graze in grassy pastures, developing strong bones and growing the way nature intended.
And, it shows in the nutrient profile of your food! Pasture-grazed, and organically raised animals have up to 5 times as many Omega-3 fatty acids, the life-sustaining fats that lead to optimal health. These healthier animals have twice as much Conjugated Linoleic Acid, another fatty acid that’s critical to healthy muscle and joint development.
Most importantly though, real bone broth is simmered on low heat for 24+ hours which gives the precious marrow, collagen and amino acids time to soak into the broth, creating the potent health cocktail
our hunter-gatherer ancestors consumed so regularly.
