"You probably know how mineral and nutrient-rich homemade bone broth is, but if you don't think you'll make it or you want some on hand when you're crunched for time, try some from Kettle & Fire -- theirs is 100% grass-fed bone broth with a bunch of gelatin, organic ingredients, and it's shelf stable! I love keeping their beef and chicken broth on-hand for quick recipes because they make it just like I do, and without additives or preservatives that store-bought has."

Bone Broth In Traditional Cultures
For thousands of years, people all over the world consumed all parts of the animal, including the skin, cartilage, tendons, and other gelatinous cuts of meat.

This provided a balanced intake of all the amino acids necessary to build and maintain those same structures in the human body.

"Broth's nutritional complexity makes it a nearly perfect bone-building, joint-health-supporting package.” - Dr. Cate Shanahan M.D.

Unfortunately, modern diets have lost the practice of whole-animal eating in favor of modern convenience, factory-raised animals, and highly processed canned soups.
Bone Broth Is One Of The Most Nutrient Dense Super Foods
Animal bones contain an abundance of minerals, as well as 17 different amino acids, many of which are found in bone broth as collagen and gelatin (source).

"Most importantly, bone broth is also particularly rich in two very special amino acids: proline and glycine. Glycine and proline are two key components of connective tissue, the biological “glue” that holds our bodies together." - Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, The Paleo Mom

To extract the nutrients from the animal bones, the bones are slow simmered in water for 20+ hours which gives the precious marrow, collagen and amino acids time to soak into the broth.

This is why bone broth is rich in numerous nutrients that aren’t easily found elsewhere, and is a cornerstone to many healthy diets – in other words, it’s a superfood.

How Bone Broth Is Different Than Regular "Stock/Broth"
The two most important words to remember when you start incorporating the benefits of real bone broth into your life are the quality of the ingredients and the long cook times.

To modern-day food manufacturers, the traditional way of making bone broth is downright inconvenient because it requires expensive top-notch ingredients, and is costly to make right. So, they don’t.

These food producers simply want to make as much product as possible, as quickly as possible to maximize profits. Thus, these "stocks and broths" are boiled for only 3-4 hours to reduce the amount of time it takes to make a batch, which is not nearly enough time to extract the nutrients from the animal bone marrow.

However, real bone broth requires the bones to be simmered in low heat for 20+ hours which gives the precious marrow, collagen and amino acids time to soak into the broth, creating the potent health cocktail traditional cultures consumed so regularly.

WORLD CLASS HEALTH EXPERTS AGREE
The Highest Quality and Convenient Bone Broth On The Market
Dr. Cate Shanahan, M.D
Director of Nutrition for the NBA Team, LA Lakers
"I’m always recommending bone broth to my patients and to the athletes I work with. But it’s so time consuming to make that few people can get enough to meet their nutritional needs.

I’m so glad that Kettle and Fire is now making bone broth available nationwide, and I’m even happier it tastes so good!"
Ben Greenfield
2008 NSCA Personal Trainer Of The Year,
NYT Bestseller
"Not only is Kettle & Fire’s broth incredibly good for you, it’s incredibly tasty and portable. They worked with a team of classically trained chefs to make sure their bone broth is extremely flavorful and full of nutrients and healthy amino acids.

It doesn’t get much better than that, and now, with their unique, BPA-free packaging that doesn’t need freezing or refrigeration, you can have your bone broth anytime, anyplace."
Robb Wolf
NYT Bestseller, NAVY SEALS NUTRITION CONSULTANT
"We frequently make our own bone broth here in the Wolf household, but there are times when we get a bit too busy or run out — which is why I always keep a stash of Kettle & Fire in the pantry.

Kettle & Fire is made with marrow bones from 100% grass-fed, organically raised and pasture-grazed cattle, then slow simmered for a solid 24 hours with organic vegetables, sea salt and herbs.

Besides being a quality product, they’re the only shelf stable & non-frozen chicken bone broth without any preservatives or additives."
We Created Kettle & Fire For A Reason...
Justin & Nick (the better looking one)
Kettle & Fire was created by two brothers, Justin & Nick Mares.

This company started when we (Justin and Nick) first heard about bone broth and its amazing health benefits in late 2013.

Justin was looking to incorporate bone broth into his Paleo diet more regularly with all his travel. Around the same time, Nick tore his ACL while playing soccer (ouch) and was looking for foods that could help with the healing and recovery process.

Being the incredible brother he is, Justin went online to buy Nick some bone broth... and couldn't find anything that worked. After lots of searching, he could only find frozen bone broth…made with bones from non-organic, non-grass-fed cattle…shipped in styrofoam containers (which are terrible for the environment).
Simply put, there was no one making real bone broth with quality ingredients
These things combined were enough to stop us from buying bone broth. So we decided to embark on a year-long journey to find the best recipe, the best bones, the best ingredients, and the best packaging

We’ve scoured the United States to find sustainable sources of organically raised animals, organic vegetables, and a forward-thinking food producer to work with us. And… after 12 months, 300+ phone calls to manufacturing facilities, and countless emails to small family farms…

We were finally able to find manufacturers that agreed to make bone broth the traditional way -- simmered for 20+ hours over low heat, and crafted using all organic vegetables and bones from small family farms who raise their animals following organic principles.

Still, we just had one more problem...
We had to find a way to deliver non-frozen & shelf-stable bone broth

All the other bone broth products were only available in a few cities, had to be shipped frozen which required $40+ shipping fees, and would go rancid within 5 days.

So we’ve used modern technology to make the best-tasting, longest-lasting, healthiest bone broth in the world. This breakthrough innovation is thanks to our use of a multi-million dollar facility, and a packing process known as “immersion under vacuum” that ensures shelf stability without any added sodium or preservatives.

We do this to ensure that you get all the health benefits of traditional bone broth, without worrying about shipping costs or spoilage, while retaining all the nutrients and rich flavor for two years at room temperature.

It was this passion for health that enabled us to create a superior bone broth with the best recipe, the best bones, the best ingredients, and the best packaging.

We value the integrity of our bone broth over everything else, and have tested our bone broth hundreds of times to make sure it compares to homemade bone broth… and we can say with a happy face that it passed all the tests.

We can now proudly say that we have succeeded. And, our customers agree with 1500+ five-star reviews of our bone broth.

"For years, I have had severe digestive issues and was never able to complete a run without having to make an urgent trip to the bathroom.

However, after 3 weeks of drinking a cup of Kettle and Fire's bone broth every day for 3 weeks, I can actually make it through runs without stopping!

I would like to thank my sister (who has Crohn's disease) for turning me onto this stuff. I am hooked!"
Michael F.
"I have been drinking Kettle & Fire's bone broth for 4 months now and I absolutely love it.

My trainer suggested I drink bone broth to help improve my joint health, and my wife is also drinking it as part of her AIP diet.

The reason I've continued drinking Kettle & Fire's bone broth is because I wanted grass-fed, shelf-stable, and a high quality product. I'm so happy I bought this!"
Valerie A.
"My eyes flew wide open when I tasted the first sip! One of the reviews said the broth is bland. There was nothing bland about the batch I got. Perfect for a low-sodium diet.

You can always add salt and other spices. I like spicy and will add hot pepper sometimes, but this was so flavorful on its own. Much better than my own homemade. I can hardly believe it."

"LOVE it!!! The flavor is so good, I just heat and drink. It tastes so good, it rarely makes it to the fridge for left overs.
Linda
"So many "bone broth" products have suddenly hit the market,.... Kettle and Fire is (without a doubt) the best tasting available outside of your own kitchen (& for some even there). Well done guys!!!!"
Doris
"Kettle and Fire Chicken broth was definitely worth the investment. You can heat up the broth and drink it straight from the mug or you can immerse it into a hearty soup. Either way you can intake it knowing that it's tasty, healthy, and healing your gut! 10/10 would recommend."

THE BALANCED BENEFITS OF BONE BROTH
Bone broth is rich in numerous nutrients that aren’t easily found elsewhere.
Digestion & Gut
Bone broth is a staple in many gut-healing diets, and rightfully so! Gelatin absorbs water and helps maintain the layer of mucus that keeps gut microbes away from the intestinal barrier [1].

Bone broth is also an excellent source of Glycine. Glycine stimulates the production of stomach acid, which is essential for the proper digestion of food [2].
"I prescribe bone broth to heal leaky gut, which is the underlying cause of every autoimmune disease.

Bone broth can be used as part of a comprehensive protocol that includes removing trigger foods and environmental toxins, reversing inflammation, repairing, healing, and sealing your leaky gut, and maintaining healthy gut flora to help correct autoimmune diseases."

- Dr. Sara Gottfried, Harvard-trained MD and NYT Best Seller
Bones & Joints
The proteins derived from the bones found in bone broth are the building blocks for your connective tissue.

Proline and Glycine in particular help strengthen your tendons and ligaments.

This is why athletes like power lifters drink bone broth to aid in the recovery process [3].
"As well as providing the raw materials for healthy bones and joints, the proteins in bone broth deliver an especially interesting benefit for rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease marked by painful damage to the tendons and ligaments. Specifically, these proteins may actually help stop the autoimmune response in its tracks."

- Sébastien Noël , Creator of PaleoLeap
Skin Health
In the same way that bones are comprised of proteins, so is your skin. Skin loses elasticity and hair becomes brittle when nutrient deficient.

In a 2014 randomized and controlled trial, collagen consumption significantly improved skin elasticity and tended to improve skin moisture content [4].

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are also found in bone broth which have been shown to improve skin hydration and provide structural support [5].
Bone broth is the greatest source of natural collagen. We simmer the organic bones for 20+ hours to pull all the collagen, proteins, and amino acids into our nutrient-rich bone broth. The result is a collagen-rich, high protein bone broth that gives your body the nutrients it needs to thrive.
