To boost profits, food producers sell imitation versions of bone broth, called stocks or just “broth”. These imitators boil their stock at furious heat and in high-pressure industrial kettles, sapping the broth of nutrients that make it so wonderful in the first place.
These food producers simply want to make as much product as possible, as quickly as possible to maximize profits. Thus, these stocks and broths are boiled for 3-4 hours to reduce the amount of time it takes to make a batch, which is not nearly enough time to extract the nutrients from the animal bone marrow.
